Let the Speedrunning Commence! “Summer Games Done Quick” Begins on Sunday

Summer Games Done Quick 2015, one of the most popular gaming charity events of the season, will commence on July 26 at 10am and will speedrun (har, har) through to August 1. All donations will benefit Doctors Without Borders.

Earlier this year in January at Awesome Games Done Quick, we were blessed with the incredible Tetris The Grandmaster showcase ​as well as the sadistically challenging Kaizo Mario World Speed Run. (What will he do with Super Mario Maker…) And I will never forget the blindfolded run of Super Punch-Out!! at last year's AGDQ.

This year, according to recently updated schedule, we will see speedruns of Donkey Kong Country 3, Resident Evil 4, Ghosts N Goblins, Earthbound, Shadow of the Colossus, multiple Tetris: The Grand Master games and modes, BioShock Infinite, and Bastion. The swordless run of The Legend of Zelda (Thursday at 4:45pm) and the shovel-only Shovel Knight (Friday at 12:15pm) speedruns.
