The Dark Side: Star Wars: Battlefront Details $50 Season Pass

Despite our collective protestations of season-pass woes, Star Wars: Battlefront has revealed its season pass at the premium, premium price tag of $49.99. The official description on Xbox One reveals that the season pass will include four expansion packs that will "take you to new locations across a galaxy far, far away." For $50, they'd better.

Getting the season pass will give you two-week early access to each expansion as well as a "Shoot First" emote just to show everyone else that, yes, you bought this.

That said, we have no idea what's in the season pass, whether it is multiplayer maps or single-player campaigns or character skins or a Jar Jar Binks mini-game. May the Force help all of us.

The Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass will come included in the newly-announced Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition which comes with everything in the Deluxe Edition as well. It's telling that the official EA announcement bundles this news with a one-day extension of the beta.

At any rate, is anyone really surprised by this? It's a triple-A game in 2015. Why of course.
