Star Wars: The Old Republic Turns 2 Million Players

Electronic Arts has revealed that 2 million players participated in the beta for Star Wars: The Old Republic during the anual Global Media and Communications Conference.

With 725,000 unique users during Thanksgiving weekend alone and with beta tester devoting about half a day on average, this testing phase makes it "one of the biggest beta tests in history". To put that in perspective, that's about 9 million hours and the game's not even out yet.

Star Wars: The Old Republic launches December 20 in North America and Europe. Just how many World of Warcraft players will it turn to the ~~dark~~ EA side? Only time will tell.
