SimCity Developer Is Working On Another Ambitious Title

Maxis, the team responsible for millions of people confusing reality with the virtual world with series such as SimCity and The Sims, are currently working on a title according to a job listing on Gamasutra. The recruitment post states the following:

Maxis is seeking an experienced Graphics Engineer to join our team in Emeryville, CA. In this role, you will be working with a highly talented and experienced team on an upcoming triple-A simulation style game.

Maxis, AAA, and simulation? Count me in! The post also lists PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, Mac OS X, and Windows as supported platforms, so nobody should feel left out.

The last game Maxis released was Spore, which was extremely ambitious but didn't do as well as previous titles from the developer. Since Spore was a completely new IP for the company, it's difficult to estimate what this game in development could be. The Sims 3 has been rolling out expansions left and right so a fourth installment is probably out of the question, but SimCity has been quiet for a few years now and rumors of a SimCity 5 have been popping up now and again.

What kind of simulation would you like to see from the creative team over at Maxis?
