Sony Online Entertainment Announces Bullet Run

Sony Online Entertainment sent out a nifty little press release in regards to their upcoming free-to-play FPS online game. As you know, there just aren't that many of these games. Snark temporarily aside, the game is called Bullet Run and takes place in the future on a grisly reality TV show. But don't think that it's like The Hunger Games. Instead, think of SmashTV, just with a first-person POV instead of top-down.

Players, also known as "Contestants," battle to the death with ammo, weapons and attitude. With fame on the line, an array of customization options will allow players to create unique looks for their characters and ensure the style system spotlight is on them. Matches take place in a variety of settings, each of which provides a different mix of tactical options, play styles and equipment options. Through a revolutionary "Synth" technology, these reality stars will die, re-incarnate into a new body, and jump right back into the action until the match is complete. Death becomes a mere setback as players compete for fame and glory.

Bullet Run features six Synth Arenas and will primarily focus on individual character and weapon advancement. Players can unlock with their style and/or purchase different weapons, weapon upgrades, outfits, and accessories.

The game is currently in development and will not be available for the PC until this summer. They are accepting Beta testers at this time, so if you're interested, visit www.bulletrunthegame.com and sign up.
