Cloud Strife Comes To PlayStation 3… Sort Of

If you've been crying out for a Final Fantasy VII remake, Square Enix has decided to answer your pleas in perhaps one of the most unfulfilling ways imaginable. In the upcoming Final Fantasy XIII spinoff Lightning Returns, gamers who pre-order the title will get a Cloud Strife costume for Lighting.

This downloadable incentive comes not only with Cloud's official garb, but also the soldier's iconic Buster Sword and Soldier's Band. Fans of FFVII will also be pleased to know that his victory animation is included as well.

In another pre-order pack, dubbed the Lightning Samurai Set, three alternate costumes will be available, each with their own abilities.
