Tell GR | What video game world would you most like to live in?

What video game world would you like to live in? Over the years we’ve explored an innumerable amount of these virtual worlds, from the small through to the jaw-droppingly massive. But which ones would we most like to call home?

Team GR gave their thoughts below, but now we want to hear from you! Tell us the video game world that YOU would most like to live in in the comments section.

Paul Tamburro, executive editor: Animal Crossing, without a shadow of a doubt. There’s no peril in Animal Crossing‘s universe, and it says a lot about how nice it is that people actually criticize Tom Nook — a man who freely hands out houses with zero percent deposits. Paying off my house by doing chores I actually enjoy such as gardening and decorating would be a dream, as would having all of my coffee served by a talking owl.”

Michael Leri, features editor: “Granted that there’s not a dark, seedy underbelly that the game’s don’t show, the Pokemon universe would be great. You get to live beside multiple kinds of dogs that are, dare I say, maybe even cooler than real dogs. Sure, they fight, but they get right back up. It’s a loving peaceful world where threats aren’t quite apocalyptic like most other games, but just unpleasant. Also I just really want to pet have a pet Growlithe.”

Jason Faulkner, senior editor: “Considering how hellish it must be for most citizens of video game worlds, it’s a tough choice. I’m with Michael that the Pokemon world would likely be the coolest if it’s exactly as presented in the games. Its bright, happy, and you can have all sorts of Pokemon pals. However, I’d probably go neurotic because I’d have to many Pokemon and worry that I’m not spending enough time with each one of them.”
