Guardians of the Galaxy game Drax

Rumor: Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy’s Drax is more badass than MCU version

After being revealed at the Square Enix E3 conference, if rumors are correct the Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy game Drax may be even more of a badass than the MCU movie version. According to a possibly leaked GOTG game character sheet, Drax single-handedly beat the mad Titan Thanos in a fight and won. This may possibly hint at a Guardians of the Galaxy Thanos appearance if the documents are genuine.

Did the Guardians of the Galaxy game Drax kill Thanos?

Guardians of the Galaxy game Drax

According to the supposed character sheets released for each of the Guardians, Drax sought out Thanos after discovering that the Mad Titan was the one who ordered the attack that killed Drax’s family, similar to his back-story in the comics and movies. Drax was almost killed by Thanos, but Drax survived and sought out Thanos’ father Mentor, who gave him a drug that gave Drax enough power to single-handedly take on Thanos — and he won. Drax would have killed Thanos but he passed out before he could cut his head off.

If the character sheet above is genuine, then not only did Drax manage to direct beat Thanos in a one-to-one fight, but Thanos is still out there and may appear in the Guardians of the Galaxy game — as the character did in the Telltale Guardians of the Galaxy adventure. We have reached out to Square Enix PR to determine if the character sheet is genuine and will update this post when we learn anything more.

Nevertheless, Square Enix has already revealed a lot about Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. We know that it’s a single-player, open-world game and that it’s based on one of the most popular comic runs, but don’t expect to be playing Drax, Gamora, Rocket, or Groot, as Star-Lord is the only playable character in the game.
