Is Microsoft Teasing A Halo 2 HD Remake For Xbox One?

We're coming up on the tenth anniversary of Halo 2, leading many to speculate that a high-definition remake of the Xbox classic will be released later this year. Microsoft did something similar with Halo: Combat Evolved for its tenth anniversary, so the precedent is certainly there.

Now, Xbox spokesman Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb has posted a very mysterious message on Twitter, harkening back to the I love bees viral marketing campaign for Halo 2.

While Mr. Hyrb could just have an odd fascination with bees, it does seem quite coincidental that he is tweeting about them on the very same year of Halo 2's tenth anniversary.

Are you ready for an HD remake of Halo 2? Seeing as how Microsoft has basically closed the book on Xbox 360 at this point, there's a good chance we'll see it come to Xbox One—that is, if it is in fact real. The Big M has made it clear it's committed to giving gamers a whole lot of Halo content in the coming years, and Halo 2 Anniversary sounds like a logical move.
