Sony Releases ‘PSP Engine’ for Easy PSP-to-PS3 Porting

Sony is adamant about bringing PSP titles to the PS3 through their PSP Remaster series of titles. And the company is making it as easy as possible with their new "PSP Engine" middleware that makes porting PSP titles to the PS3 more streamlined.

Now developes have no excuse not to bring their PSP content to the PS3. If only Sony would support PS3 trophies, then they'll really have something going.

Although Monster Hunter Portable 3rd has been announced as the first PSP game to be remastered for the PS3, there hasn't been much talk about PSP Remaster titles aside from that. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will be brought to the PS3 and Xbox 360, but Kojima Productions isn't lableing this as a PSP Remaster and is instead including it as part of the Metal Gear Solid Collection.
