Ten Things to Do in the Last 24 Hours of the TItanfall Beta
-
Stop melee-assassinating the grunts
rnSeriously. You’re not helping your team! Plus don’t you find you’re getting assassinated yourself? Or jump kicked? Or stepped on by an enemy Titan? The grunts are fodder. They’re added to the game to add filler and give you a lot of successful dynamic moments, but they’re also really cheap. Read on. -
I don’t know. Preorder?
rnBeta’s over, soldier! -
Amped Experiment
rnTry to use the amped cards to change up your weapons and play style. Experimentation time! If you usually carry around an SMG or an assault rifle, take an Amped DMR burn card with you into every battle, just to try it out before making the switch to Sniper position full time. Feel free to be a total noob with each experiment because you want to burn up those cards. -
Arc Grenades, soldier!
rnNo, I’m telling you, Arc Grenades are the most amazing tool in Titanfall right now. I expect they’ll be nerfed at some point in the near future since they are crazy powerful now. It takes two to kill a pilot and a few more to kill a titan, but if you combine them with your heavy weaponry it’ll bring down the metal men pretty fast. -
Use Burn cards all the time
rnAll three in every match. You will get a lot more burn cards. Use them to either win back momentum, or maintain it to crush your enemies. There are a lot of favorites that you’ll get repeat cards of. Take down both human and Titan enemies with those shock grenades. All the time. -
Level up to 14!
rnIt doesn’t take that long and it’s the max level for the beta. You’ll unlock Titan customizations, but not the ability to choose a different Titan frame. For that you’ll need…. -
More burn cards!
rnSeriously, use those things up. Discard extras. Keep your collection lean so you can get new cards with every completed challenge. When you complete big challenges, you’ll earn special cards! Keep your eyes out for Titan-swapping cards. -
Pull off the moves you’ve seen in the trailer
rnGet really good at running on walls or finding new paths to key points. Try to learn these maps. The Titanfall final release will have quite a few more battlegrounds so there’ll be plenty of time to forget about what you learned in the beta. -
Eject to Rodeo
rnHave you not been riding the enemy titan units and blasting at their circuitry? Do it all day, everyday. Try to eject from your doomed Titan and land on an enemy unit. Preferably the one that killed you. Sweet, sweet revenge and another challenge completed. -
Blow up a grenade with the smart pistol
rnBrrraap Brrrap. I love that smart pistol. It’s tricky to use, but once you get a handle of it you’ll have plenty of fun clearing the roof tops and interiors of enemy pilots and grunts alike. Those big yellow grenade warnings on the HUD sure make pilots panic, but if you don’t give them time to run away you can catch quite a few at once. Toss a grenade and smart-pistol-detonate it in mid air if you can.
