The Last of Us PS4 Has Been in Development for a While

The Last of Us Remastered, the upcoming PlayStation 4 port of last year's hit action-adventure game from Naughty Dog, has been in development for quite some time. In fact, work on the title began almost immediately after production on the PlayStation 3 version concluded.

"Yeah, we had a lot of people on the forums saying, ‘Can I play this on PlayStation?’ And so, I’d been anticipating that, and started working on [the PS4 version] pretty much as soon as we finished with the PlayStation 3 [version]," Naughty Dog's Evan Wells explained in a video interview with Access PlayStation

"We weren’t sure whether it was going to go anywhere, but when we saw the fans clamoring for it, we doubled down and put more effort behind it."

Are you excited for a PlayStation 4 version of The Last of Us? Will you be picking up a copy when it launches this summer?
