Assassin’s Creed Franchise Breaks 73 Million in Sales

The Assassin's Creed franchise has surpassed the 73 million mark in worldwide sales, Ubisoft has announced.

This solidifies the insanely-popular stealth-action series as Ubi's most successful IP, with Just Dance coming in second at just over 48 million in sales. The publisher has been steadily releasing a new Assassin's Creed on an annual basis, and if recent reports prove to be true, Ubisoft will be releasing two separate entries this year.

Assassin's Creed Unity, which was revealed just a few weeks ago, will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC later this year. Rumor has it that another game, specifically developed for PS3 and Xbox 360, is coming in 2014 as well.
