The Last Guardian to Likely Skip Tokyo Game Show

Sony's gamescom press conference came and went with no mention of The Last Guardian. Unfortuantely, it looks like that will be the case later this year at Tokyo Game Show as well, according to Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida.

When asked by Eurogamer whether or not we'll see Team ICO's long awaited project at Japan's gaming expo, Yoshida replied by saying, "I don't think so. Sorry."

When does Sony plan to show off the game? Unfortunately, Mr. Yoshida didn't have a particularly solid answer. "When we are ready," he said. "I cannot confirm any timing because we are waiting for it to be in a state where we are happy that this is the game. We have a certain time frame in our mind, and the team is making great progress, but still not to the point that we can say that, here you go."

It has been a long wait, and it looks like Sony plans to string us a long quite a bit longer. Here's to hoping when/if it finally arrives, PlayStation owners will be happy with the final product.
