What Are You Playing? The Walking Dead, Guacamelee 2, and Death’s Gambit

August is still a particularly dry month for new releases, but the GameRevolution staff have been busying themselves with a few new indie titles, along with the first episode of The Walking Dead‘s final season. Roll on September and those triple-A titles!

As always, let us know what games you’ve been playing in the comments section below.

Paul Tamburro: I’ve been playing Not Tonight, which is like Papers, Please if it was set in post-Brexit UK and was also a bit worse. It has a surprisingly engaging cast of characters, but its satirical take on modern Britain is a bit too cartoonish to really hit home.

Jason Faulkner: Currently playing through Yakuza Kiwami 2. It’s Yakuza, so it’s a pleasure as always and it’s even better since Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has put everything they learned using the Dragon Engine in Yakuza 6 to work here.

Alleef Ashaari: I completed Episode One of The Walking Dead The Final Season and it’s certainly an emotional reunion with Clementine. Now that Clem is to AJ what Lee was to her, we’ve finally come full circle in her journey. Telltale Games has outdone themselves yet again. I’m not crying, you are.

Michael Leri: I’ve been slogging through Death’s Gambit, finishing up Guacamelee 2 for the second time, and about to jump into Strange Brigade.

Ginny Woo: Taking a minute of my time to play Minit, which has been a great way to unwind between jamming Sylvanas’ rhetoric into my eyeballs when I’m immersed in World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth at every other waking moment.

David Lozada: I recently decided to go back and replay Life is Strange. I really can’t put my finger on it, but something about Max and Chloe’s world continues to draw me in every time I pick up my controller. Maybe it’s the game’s cast of characters or its charming, unique world. In any case, I can see why so many people love this franchise and hope the sequel lives up to expectations.
