Tell GR: How Did You Spend Your First Day with Fallout 76?

Fallout 76 is here, which means that Vault dwellers are finally able to jump into the game alongside their friends and start their post-apocalyptic adventures. Inarguably the most controversial Fallout game ever, opinion has been split over the game leading up to its release, and many are eager to see whether or not it lives up to the hype.

So, have you enjoyed your first visit to West Virginia? Or have its opening hours rubbed you up the wrong way? As always, let us know in the comments section below.

Paul Tamburro, executive editor: “I wandered aimlessly around the wasteland for a few hours popping caps in Scorchers, before meeting up with some friends and wandering around aimlessly a bit more. I also got killed by a giant swamp lizard. I’m still not sure what to think of it, to be honest.”

Jason Faulkner, senior editor: “I got about an hour under my belt so far. I made it through the first little tutorial missions outside the vault and built my first house. Everyone I’ve run into seems to be soloing the game. The only person I met that I heard using voice chat was streaming and didn’t realize it was always on.”

Mack Ashworth, lead editor: Check out Mack’s first hour with the game on stream, right here:

Michael Leri, sub-editor: “If we’re talking about the beta, I spent my first day with trying to understand what Bethesda was going for here. And not in a rude, reductive way but I don’t know if Fallout fans wanted it or people that are into the survival genre. I hope it comes together because, while I am not in either of those camps, I was rather bored and found it all pretty tedious.”

Bradley Russell, sub-editor: “I spent my first day with Fallout 76 by not playing it. Because I don’t have it.”
