The advent of Patch 4.06 has brought along the Final Fantasy XIV’s annual summer event: the Moonfire Faire. With this summer fest now happening, you won’t want to miss out on all the exclusive quests and gear that will be available for a limited time only. We’ve got you covered on everything you need to know, so you can quickly receive your hotly anticipated items.
The Basics
The Moonfire Faire is only available from August 8th, 2017 at 1:00 a.m. PT to August 26, 2017 at 7:59 a.m. PT. It can be started by speaking to the NPC Mayaru Moyaru in the Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks at exactly X: 11.5, Y: 13.8 on the map.
The starting quest is called “The Isle and the Faire” (requires a level 30 character), and these are the steps you need to take to complete the quest:
- Speak with Mayaru Moyaru to initiate the quest
- Travel to Costa del Sol
- Swim to the Isle of Endless Summer (located at X: 36.7, Y: 31.0)
- Speak with Haermaga
- Speak with P’obyano
- Speak with Jiriri
- Use firework mortar on cannon (X: 37.4, Y: 29.4)
- Report back to P’obyano for completion
Repeat the various quests available on the Isle of Endless Summer (one of which is only for fishers of any level) and FATE’s around Costa del Sol to receive more Faire Vouchers that are used to redeem for event-specific items. You can also return to Haermaga for the special quest “The True Meaning of Summer” (requires level 30) that will reward you with the full set of Faire clothing and the seasonal achievement “The Faire and the Maidens There” in exchange for seven Faire XXVII vouchers.

Speak to Wunthyll (X:36.8, Y: 31.1) to redeem your Faire Voucher XVII for the special exclusive Moonfire Faire items. Here is a full list of the items available this year, along with the required amount of vouchers needed to purchase:
