Life Is Strange 2 Collectibles Guide | Episode 1, 2, and 3

Life Is Strange 2’s first episode is finally out. While you’re making your journey to Mexico, you’ll come across some collectibles along the way. Or you won’t. This is why we’ve compiled a Life Is Strange 2 collectibles guide. All of these can be found in the Collectible Mode but why wait? There will be no narrative spoilers in this guide but it will spoil some of the locations. We will update this exact guide for every episode so you may want to bookmark this page.

The first collectible is some fish bait. This is found in the section by the lake where you both have to gather logs for a fire. After gathering the logs, go to the left side of the lake. Look in the trees. You’ll see some sort of object. That’s your ticket.

The bear keychain is the second collectible. Once inside the gas station store, go near the shopkeeper and look at the bear keychain with Daniel. The nice old lady will let you keep it. While the hint may suggest it, this bear item is obviously not the bear item from the claw game.

After grabbing the bear keychain, you can go look at the shelf in the gas station by the door near the window and Chock-O-Crisp bar. It’s some sort of trucker sticker. Go ahead and grab it.

You can now exit the gas station interior for the fourth collectible. There is a box directly behind the gas station by the Halloween pumpkin on the log. You can move the box and grab the feather that appears. Be sure to do this before you sit down at the table since that makes you move on to the rest of the story.

The fifth collectible is pretty tricky. Once you are able to play fetch with the dog, make sure that you throw the stick. Now aim the stick at the sign on your left. If you hit it, the dog will come back with a tooth. It’s now yours.

Now progress in the story until you get to the hotel room. Once you start wandering around, look at the closet in the back of the room near the small patio. Look inside and examine the seal card on the right side. After looking at it, you can pick it up.

The first collectible is a bear pin is a bit tricky. After you help Daniel hone his powers with the snowballs in the beginning of the level, go near the snowman by the cabin. Look to the right of the snowman in the tree. It’s pretty high up there so be sure to crane up. There will be an object. Observe it then ask Daniel to use his powers to knock it down. Once he does that like a good little telekinetic brother, walk over to him and look at the item to pick it up.

The second collectible is a bit hidden. Go to the train station by your room in the grandparents’ house. Wait until their grandpa isn’t on operating the train. Hop onto the controls and watch the train go around. However, look at one of the switches and have it go forward and not curve right. Let the train go through the tunnel and it will knock a piece loose. Make sure to command the train to stop in front of you then observe it. You’ll get the sign it helped knock loose.

The third one is easy. When you go to pick up Sean from Chris’ house, go to the backyard and observe the snowman. Once you do this, it lets you grab his beer cap eye as a souvenir. Do this before you enter the house.

However, the next one is not quite as simple. Go to Chris’ house. To get the collectible, you must correctly sort his toys between heroes and villains. Here’s how you must divide them:

Heroes:

  • Pirate
  • Bear
  • Warrior
  • Dino

Villains:

  • Insectoid
  • Car

He gives you the little figurine once you separate them correctly.

The guitar pick takes a bit of work. Once you arrive at the Christmas market with Daniel, Chris, and his dad, you have to go to the second area and listen to the lady with the guitar. Listen to her full song. Then speak to her. After she gets up and leaves, you’ll see her guitar pick on the ground. Pick it up.

The final collectible, the plane ticket, is in your mother’s room. Once you get the key, look at the CD player. Then look to the left of it to plug it in. It’s sort of hidden behind the CD rack. Then once you’ve plugged it in, play the CD player. You’ll find plane ticket inside.

The first collectible is in the first playable area in Humboldt County and not the flashback. Go outside, walk forward, and find the dog near the campfire. Pet it and follow it. Then pet it again. It will eventually lead you to the first collectible, which is a bird skull.

The second collectible is when you are cutting the weed leaves. Once you get to eight leaves cut, you’ll see a prompt to pick something up where the leaves are. Pick it up. It is a pen.

Once you head back to camp with Finn, you’ll eventually have to go carry water jugs. Instead, follow Finn by a tree and you’ll see him carve some wood. Talk to him and then he will carve the wood. Eventually, he’ll chuck it over his shoulder but that’s your cue to go grab the wood sculpture. You can also do this later during the night scene where everyone is partying, which is where the picture is from. It’s still behind the blue tent.

You’ll then have to go help Daniel with his powers by the lake. But instead of moving the log, go to the right side of that area opposite the log and you’ll see a fossil. Snatch it and it’s yours.

This collectible is a bit tricky. In the night scene, go talk to Cassidy. Then after, go talk to Ingrid. She will say they are throwing out some things by her tent. Go over to her tent (it’s the green, yellow, and orange one) and pick up the wooden horse thing.

You can get the last collectible a few different ways. You’ll end up at the car lot no matter if you decide to rob the joint or to the lake with Cassidy. Check the car doors to see if they are locked. The collectible is in the yellow locker. If you’re with Daniel, you can have him blow the lock. Then you can pick up the cartridge. You have to look at it first as there is no “grab” function until you look.

This is a bit different if you’re with Cassidy. You have to check the doors like before but you then have to go observe the workbench. Grab the screwdriver from the toolbox then use it to unscrew the metal box on the top left of the workbench. There will be a key in that metal box. Use that key to open the yellow locker.
