Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Basketball Kill

Black Ops 4 – How to Kill With a Basketball

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is out now, and players are already digging in and finding all manner of secrets. One interesting addition in the game’s battle royale Blackout mode is a basketball, which seems to have no obvious purpose, despite the fact that it can be picked up and used in a weapon slot. What do you do with a Black Ops 4 basketball? Is it possible to get a kill with it, and if so, how do you do so? We’ll do the best we can…

Where to Find a Basketball in Black Ops 4

Right at the very top of the Black Ops 4 Blackout map is the area called ‘Estates’. This location has a number of features, including a lot of housing, a helicopter pad, and a basketball court. Unsurprisingly, the basketball court is where we can find the basketball we need. You can probably try to score some hoops with it, but where’s the fun in that? This is Call of Duty, we want to kill people with it.

How to Get a Black Ops 4 Basketball Kill

First off we have to say it is incredibly difficult to get a kill with a basketball in Black Ops 4 Blackout, for multiple reasons. Firstly, you have to down a player and basically take them right to the edge of death. Secondly, you have do that without being killed or downed yourself. Thirdly, you have to either be near the basketball court in order to grab a ball, or are carrying one already (in which case you only have one weapon, so we don’t advise this).

However, if you manage to fulfil these criteria, it is totally possible to get a kill with a basketball in Black Ops 4. They do exactly three points of damage, so the player you’re trying to kill has to be near-death for it to work. If your timing is right, however, throw the ball directly at the opponent and, hopefully, it’ll kill them! Good luck!
