World War Z Can't Invite Friends Bug

For a game built around its co-operative modes, the World War Z can’t invite friends bug is causing headaches for players and developer Saber Interactive alike. Judging by the threads that are popping up on the Focus Home Interactive forums, this isn’t an issue that is reserved for only a select few either.

Users such as Hartsyy and Dleg have wrapped up what the problem is with their complaints. Any time either of them, or anyone else for that matter, tries to invite a friend they simply can’t do so. The problem is a big deal on PC in particular and doesn’t care whether you live in the same city, or have the same internet speeds or connection, as your friends

World War Z Can't Invite Friends Bug

Nope, there’s no official World War Z can’t invite friends bug fix that will resolve this problem. In fact, publisher Focus Home Interactive and developer Saber have been eerily quiet on the issue. As you can imagine, the backlash hasn’t been pretty over their lack of response.

It’s highly likely that both teams are trying to sort out other issues, such as the issue that prevents you from connecting to the game’s servers, before they look at other problems.

A couple of responses in the Dleg thread above seem to think that there’s a temporary PC fix though. Selecting “co-op campaign” on the menu could populate your friend’s list and let you send invites. Another option is to head to the Epic Games launcher’s library, click the cog wheel under World War Z, and select “verify” to make sure the game can launch properly. If neither of those work though, you’ll be out of luck.
