Despite being well known for its level building, Super Mario Maker 2 also offers a story mode, filled with premade levels. Some of these levels are really easy, while others are really hard. One of the harder ones is known as the Ancient Seesaw Fortress level, which is Level #32. It contains lots of On/Off switches, seesaws, and enemies whose only purpose is to cause you chaos. So, let’s take a look at how to complete the Super Mario Maker 2 Ancient Seesaw Fortress level.

The beginning of Level #32 won’t be too hard and will familiarize players with the seesaw mechanic. Head right, jumping over the pile of Goombas, until you reach the first On/Off switch.
Hit it so that it is blue and then go over to the seesaws. You’ll need to stand on one side so that the other side goes up, then you can run and jump up to the next, and then eventually up to the top ledge, then on your right, you’ll see a blue pipe.
Head down the pipe and then go left until you come to the On/Off switch. Flip it so that it’s red and then go down the ‘slide’ formed between the two blocks. You should now be at the bottom of the level next to the checkmark flag.
Now things are going to get a bit tricky, so hold onto your hat!
You’re going to need to escort the red Koopa Trooper over to the seesaw. To do that, you’ll need to hit the On/Off switch so that it can walk over to the seesaw. This will make the seesaw go down so that you can hop on and then use it to jump up onto the ledge.
Keep going until you reach the next seesaw with the spring. Simply get on the left side of the seesaw so that it raises the spring up onto the ledge. Then, hit the On/Off switch so that it is red and hop onto the spring and go up to the next seesaw.
You’ll be faced with a similar situation, but this time you’ll first need to go over and get a shoe. To do that, simply hit the On/Off switch so that it is blue, then you’ll be able to get the shoe. Then, change it back to red and stand on the edge of the seesaw so that the spring is raised up and the opening above you is clear.
Now you should be able to jump up onto the ledge and go to the next seesaw. Hit the On/Off button so that it is blue, which will drop the cannons onto the seesaw and elevate the other side so that you can go up the ramp. Make sure to go up the ramp at the proper time, or else you’ll get hit by the cannonballs.
Once up the ramp, you’ll be able to climb a vine up to a downward slope. Again, watch out for the cannon and make sure you have your timing planned just right. When it’s free, go down the ramp and you’ll come to a stomping block. You’ll need to change the On/Off block color to red so that the pipe shoots out bombs. Then, you can go stand close to the stomping block and it will launch the bombs up to the plants on the ledge above.
If you time it right, you can take them both out with one bomb, if not, you’ll have to fire a few extra. Once they’re gone, hit the On/Off block again and then hop up to the ledge. Then, hit the On/Off block at the top ledge and continue right and jump up on the seesaw.
Hit the On/Off block to your right so that it is blue, then stand on the right side of the seesaw so that the giant stomp block will get raised up into the red space. Then, hit the same On/Off block again so that it destroys the big stomping block. Now you can run over to the vine and climb up to the next ledge.
Now you will begin the final phase of the Super Mario Maker 2 Ancient Seesaw Puzzle. If you go to your right, you’ll see a dry bones walking on a seesaw. You’re going to need to escort it up a couple of seesaws so that you can jump off of it and get onto a ledge. So, you’ll need to elevate the seesaw so that it can get to the ledge, then it will hit the music note box and be bounced to another seesaw.
Rinse and repeat this method so that the dry bones has gone across three seesaws and should now be going back and forth on a ledge.
You’ll need to run and jump off of its head so that you can get up to the ledge. This can be a bit tricky, but if you run and high jump off the dry bones (press B and hold) you should be able to get up to the ledge, but it may take a few times. Don’t worry if you don’t get it, the dry bones will reappear.
Once you’re up on the ledge, hit the On/Off block so that it is blue and then go right, jump up on the blocks, and then over to the ledge underneath the blue pipe.
Head right and hit the On/Off button so that it is red and you’ll find the flag a little further down on your right.
