Ghost Recon Breakpoint Error Silent-40002 and Silent-30086

Ghost Recon Breakpoint Silent-40002, 30086 error fixes

Ghost Recon Breakpoint players are running into Silent-40002 and Silent-30086 errors and facing crashes on connection. While some have had problems caused by the BattlEye launcher, the Silent errors when trying to play Ghost Recon Breakpoint are a different matter altogether.

How to fix the Ghost Recon Breakpoint Silent-40002 and Silent-30086 errors

Unfortunately, when the Silent-40002 and 30086 errors pop up when trying to play Ghost Recon Breakpoint, there’s no real helpful guidance given as to what’s causing them. The most likely culprit is that the Ghost Recon Breakpoint servers are down and in that case you just have to wait until they come back up.

In the case of significant server outages, you can keep an eye on the Ubisoft Support twitter. This account tweets out information on any issues currently affecting Ubisoft’s catalog of games. It’s got a good record of keeping players up to date and should be your first stop if you’re having issues connecting to Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

If you don’t see that there’s an outage, the problem could possibly be on your end. Ubisoft has listed some connectivity troubleshooters on the Ghost Recon Breakpoint forums, and you can try some of the following steps:

  • Reset your network hardware.
  • If on Wi-Fi, switch to a wired connection.
  • Make sure your firewall and router aren’t blocking the application.
  • Make sure UPnP is enabled on your router.

If you’re still having issues connecting after trying the above, you can attempt to forward the ports below manually:

  • PC
    • TCP: 80, 443
    • UDP: 3074, 4000-4050, 9103
  • Xbox One
    • TCP: 80, 443
    • UDP: 1000, 4000-4050, 9103
  • PS4
    • TCP: 80, 443
    • UDP: 3658, 4000-4050, 9103

This should manually accomplish what the UPnP function on your router should be doing. However, if at all possible, you should be letting UPnP automatically open and close ports due to the security risks that having persistently open ports can cause.

If after you’ve completed the above, you still can’t connect and are positive that the Ghost Recon Breakpoint servers aren’t down, you may want to reach out to Ubisoft directly for help troubleshooting your issue.
