The Sims 4 Realm of Magic | Becoming a Spellcaster

Thanks to the new The Sims 4: Realm of Magic expansion pack, becoming a Spellcaster will be the next goal of many players. We’ll go through what you must do to become versed in magic in a later guide, but for now we’ll check what you can do as a Spellcaster and explain what Schools of Magic are. Finding the portal to the Realm of Magic is just the first step. With this new The Sims 4 pack you will be able to become a fully ordained Spellcaster, wreaking havoc and mischief with your spells or using them to help other Sims.

The Sims 4: Realm of Magic | What are Schools of Magic?

The Sims 4 Realm of Magic Becoming a Spellcaster

There are three different Schools of Magic in The Sims 4: Realm of Magic. They can also be called Houses, and your choice will determine the kind of magic that your Sim will learn. Nothing prevents you from learning all the spells and potions from the three Schools, if you have the drive to practice and research until perfection.

The School of Practical Magic exists to simplify what was once complicated, with spells that are helpful in many circumstances. You can cut down on travel time using the Transportalate spell, while the Repairo fixes broken objects and upgrades crafted objects. Floralorial saves you the trouble of watering plants, keeping them healthy and bug-free.

The School of Untamed Magic is for Sims who are looking for the wildest spells that they can conjure. You can raise the dead using the Necrocall, Minionize will put other Sims under your control, and Chillio summons a blast of ice-cold air that freezes every Sim on its path.

The School of Mischief Magic is for the goofier player who wishes to torment other Sims. Despario makes a Sim sad for no reason, Furio gets two Sims arguing and fighting, and Deliriate messes with a Sim’s thoughts.

Alchemy isn’t considered a School of Magic, but it’s an important part of becoming a Spellcaster. This is how you create fantastical concoctions in a cauldron. Experiment with different ingredients and you might be surprised with what you get.

The Sims 4: Realm of Magic | Sages and Talent Points

Sages are the rulers of each House of Magic in The Sims: 4 Realm of Magic. They hold the key to becoming a Spellcaster and to the spells that you wish to learn, so you must chat with each one and befriend them to move up the ranks. You can even practice magic or enter in friendly duels with Sages.

Your Sim earns Talent Points by practicing and fulfilling aspirations. These can be used to acquire Spellcaster perks, increasing your Sim’s magical abilities and allowing for speedier potion-concocting or to anonymously cast spells from a long distance.
