How to carry more items in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX

how to increase Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX inventory limit

When you begin your Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX adventure, your Toolbox is only big enough to carry up to 32 items with you at any time. This can feel too limited, especially when you’re finding Dungeons difficult at any point. Thankfully, you can increase your inventory limit. To increase your Pokemon Mystery Dungeon inventory limit, you’ll need to raise your Rescue Team Rank. Your Toolbox carry limit won’t increase upon every rank up, however. You will need to raise your Rescue Team Rank to Bronze to increase the Toolbox carry limit from 32 items to 40.

Your Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX Toolbox inventory limit will increase at the following Rescue Team Ranks:

  • Bronze: 40 item limit
  • Silver: 48 item limit

It appears as though 48 items is the Toolbox item limit. While still not being able to hold loads of items while heading into Dungeons, 48 should be enough to see you carry the items you need while having a little extra room to pick up a few more.

You’ll need to complete Rescue Jobs you’ve accepted to raise your Rescue Team Rank. Remember to complete Dungeons containing multiple Rescue Jobs to maximize and speed up the amount of Rescue Team Rank XP you earn. You’ll get to Gold Rank and the maximum item inventory limit in no time. Remember to head to Kangaskhan in the Town Square to store any items you want to keep hold of for later, too.
