Cyberpunk 2077 Can't Pick Up Loot fix

Cyberpunk 2077 Can’t Pick Up Loot fix

When it works, looting buildings and enemies can be one of the most satisfying actions in Cyberpunk 2077. The huge world is filled with secrets to uncover, with rare and powerful loot awarded to players who search far and wide. What’s more, powerful enemies that take a serious amount of punishment often drop great gear that will add a bit more “Oomph!” to a player’s arsenal. Sadly, looting in this game doesn’t always work. Here’s the Cyberpunk 2077 can’t pick up loot fix.

Why can’t I pick up loot in Cyberpunk 2077?

Cyberpunk 2077 Can't Pick Up Loot fix

Players can’t pick up loot in Cyberpunk 2077 due to one of two bugs:

  1. A visual bug.
    • Despite the player having picked up the loot, the item still remains on the ground. This gives the appearance that it hasn’t been picked up, when it actually has.
  2. A bug that prevents interaction.
    • This is where the item is dropped into an unreachable area. In GameRevolution’s experience, this has the loot clipping through the ground and unable to be interacted with.

The visual bug is easily fixed, as the item has still been added to the player inventory. The interaction bug is less easy to fix. Players can try saving and loading to see if the loot is still there, but the results are inconsistent.

Here’s hoping developer CD Projekt RED is working on a permanent fix, as losing Epic or Legendary gear because of this bug can be infuriating.

The digital version of Cyberpunk 2077 has been delisted from the PlayStation 4, with refunds offered to all users who purchased it.

At the time of writing, the infinite money glitch is still working, allowing Cyberpunk 2077 players to farm a huge amount of Eddies in very little time. Here’s how to do it.

For those making their way through the game, be warned that there are missable missions that can auto-fail if they are ignored for too long.
