Elden Ring Grand Lift of Rold Haligtree Secret Medallion locations

Elden Ring Grand Lift of Rold: Where to Find the Left and Right Haligtree Secret Medallion Halves

One of the worst-kept secrets in the Lands Between in Elden Ring is the Haligtree Secret Medallion. The Grand Lift of Rold actually has two destinations, the Mountaintops of Giants, and, if players get the right and left half of the Haligtree Secret Medallion, the Consecrated Snowfield. Unfortunately, one of these two halves is much easier to find than the other.

Where to find the right half of the Haligtree Secret Medallion in Elden Ring

Elden Ring Village of the Albinaurics map

The right half of the Haligtree Secret Medallion is located in the Village of the Albinaurics in southwestern Liurnia of the Lakes. This hamlet is nestled underneath a cliff (which obscures it on the map), and its inhabitants have unfortunately succumbed to the same malady that has crazed the majority of the inhabitants of the Lands Between.

While the medallion half isn’t hard to get to, it’s very easy to miss. Players need to look for a pot next to a cliff face just past the first tough Perfumer enemy. Slapping the pot once with a weapon will reveal Albus, a dying Albinauric who retains his sentience. As he dies, he gives the player the right piece of the Haligtree Secret Medallion and asks them to keep it safe.

Where to find the left half of the Haligtree Secret Medallion

Elden Ring Castle Sol

Finding this medal is the exact opposite of the other half. It’s easy to find, but hard to reach. After getting the right half, Sir Gideon the All-Knowing will tell players exactly where to pick up the trail. In Lakeside Crystal Cave, west of the Laskyar Ruins in Liurnia of the Lakes.

Players who make it through the cave will find Latenna, an Albinauric who is trying to return home. She’ll tell the players where to find the left half of the Haligtree Secret Medallion: Castle Sol in the Mountaintops of the Giants.

Those who haven’t made their way through the capital will have to do so to reach Castle Sol. Only after defeating Morgott, the Omen King can players make their way to the snowy northern climbs of the Lands Between.

Once players make it through Castle Sol, they’ll need to defeat Commander Niall, a tough boss. Once he goes down, players will find the left half of the medallion just beyond his arena.

How to use the Haligtree Secret Medallion on the Grand Lift of Rold

Elden Ring Activate Grand Lift of Rold

Unlike the Grand Lift of Dectus, which only has one destination, players can choose two places to go to when activating the Grand Lift of Rold in Elden Ring. Players can choose between using the normal medallion and the secret medallion when standing on the lift. Using the normal medallion will take them to the Mountaintops of the Giants, and using the secret one will take them to the Consecrated Snowfields.
