Is Diablo Immortal Pay to Win

Is Diablo Immortal Pay-to-Win?

Is Diablo Immortal pay-to-win? Since it’s designed around mobile devices, players are afraid it features the predatory monetization that is a frequent hallmark of the platform. As it is a free-to-play MMO, it’s obvious to think that it might force you to open your wallet and spend some real cash if you are looking forward to enjoying the endgame. We’ll look at if Diablo Immortal really wants you to spend money to get to higher ranks below.

Does Diablo Immortal require you to pay to win?

Like most other free-to-play games, Diablo Immortal also involves a pay-to-win factor. That means you can make in-game purchases using real money to get items that make your loadout superior to those who haven’t purchased the in-game items. Of course, if you don’t care about ranks and simply want to enjoy the game, you don’t have to spend any money on microtransactions to entertain the pay-to-win feature.

Diablo Immortal is rather egregious when it comes to pay-to-win mechanics. It’s been estimated that it could take as much as $110,000 or a ten-year grind to completely max out a character’s stats, given the poor drop rate of the gems needed to do so. Even after $4,000, a Twitch streamer didn’t manage to get a five-star gem.

The decision of spending money or playing for free depends on you as it’s not technically a necessity. However, those who do purchase the microtransactions in the game will have the edge over those who don’t. Furthermore, the endgame is balanced around the idea that you’ll be spending money to increase your chances of earning the best gems. In the end, you’ll either have to pay an outrageous amount of money or time to get the most enjoyment out of Diablo Immortal.
