Diablo Immortal Microtransaction types

What Types of Microtransactions Does Diablo Immortal Have?

Since Diablo Immortal is a mobile game, you may wonder if it has microtransactions. As with many “free-to-play” titles, the game features pay-to-win mechanisms, including a fair share of microtransactions that allow you to purchase in-game items, including gems, currencies, battle pass, and more.

Not being able to pay for these won’t create much of a barrier for you to reach the endgame. However, players who intend to play over the long term will find the game is balanced in a way that pushes you toward purchasing premium currency and items. Below are the microtransactions to help you make the right decision so you don’t find yourself with empty pockets.

Types of Microtransactions in Diablo Immortal

Diablo Immortal Orb Prices

The game offers three currencies: Gold, Platinum, and Eternal Orbs. These can be acquired by spending real money or earned in small amounts in-game. You can buy eternal Orbs with real cash, and the breakdown of the transfer rate is as follows:

  • 60 Orbs: $0.99
  • 300 + 15: $4.99
  • 600 + 30: $9.99
  • 1500 + 150: $24.99
  • 3000 + 450: $49.99
  • 6000 + 1200: $99.99

Loot Boxes

Diablo Immortal Cash Store MenuDiablo Immortal doesn’t offer a traditional Loot Box system you see in other games but offers something similar. In the game, players can enter special zones known as Elder Rifts. These zones are filled with monsters you have to kill to get upgrade materials. However, there’s no guarantee that the rewards you get after killing the enemies will be high-tier.

So, to increase your chances of getting the Premium rewards, you can modify the Elder Rifts by applying “Crests.” For example, you can insert Rare Crests, which increases your chances of getting Legendary Gems by 10%. On the other hand, if you use Legendary Crests, it’s guaranteed that you’ll get a Legendary Gem through the Elder Rifts. However, there’s still only a small chance a Legendary Gem will be five-star quality, which is the type needed to max out your character.

So, the Crests increase your chances of getting the Legendary Gems in the Elder Rifts. However, you can also purchase these Legendary Gems through Platinum in the marketplace.

Cosmetics

These items do not impact your stats in any sense. So, if you want to make your character appealing, you can purchase these. They range in price from $15-$25.

Battle Pass Premium Tiers

Like most other free-to-play games, Diablo Immortal also offers a battle pass. You get both free and premium progression tracks. The Premium track, is accessed with an Empowered Pass, which has a price tag of $4.99. Apart from that, you can also instantly unlock 14 premium tiers on the battle pass at a time by paying $14.99.

Rare Upgrade Materials

Glowing Shards and Reforge Stones are the rarest items you can’t buy using your regular gameplay. So, you have to purchase them from the in-game store using Eternal Orbs. Each of the Reforge Stones can be purchased using 100 Orbs.

Combo Packs

Diablo also contains several combo packs that can be purchased from the store. These packs usually contain cosmetic items and Orbs. For instance, if you buy a Beginner pack worth $9.99, you get a cosmetic weapon skin and 60 Eternal Orbs.
