The Splatoon 3 Enter the Splatlands Invitational 2022 tournament was announced at the end of today’s Splatoon 3 Nintendo Direct to take place at the start of next month. Those not entering the tournament will be able to watch via live stream and we have all of the details about how to enter the tournament as well as how to watch it live.
How to enter the Splatoon 3 Enter the Splatlands Invitational 2022 tournament
The Splatoon 3 Enter the Splatlands Invitational 2022 tournament will take place on September 5 at PAX West in Seattle, Washington. The event will feature some of the top Splatoon 2 Inkopolis Showdown 2022 tournament players, all of whom have already been invited to Seattle to take part in Splatoon 3’s inaugural Invitational tournament. This will likely include players from Team DNA, Mad Titans, Super P, and all others who took part in the finals of the Inkopolis Showdown. While Nintendo didn’t make it completely clear, it seems like the tournament is not an open-bracket event. This means PAX West attendees without a tournament invitation will not be able to enter and test their mettle against the pros.
How to watch the Splatoon 3 Invitational 2022 tournament
The Splatoon 3 Enter the Splatlands Invitational 2022 tournament will be live-streamed from approximately 2 PM PT on September 5. The stream can be watched on the Nintendo Twitch channel or the Nintendo Youtube channel where players were recently able to watch the Splatoon 2 Inkopolis Showdown 2022. More information on watching the tournament has been promised on the Nintendo Versus Twitter account in the future.
The Splatoon 3 Nintendo Direct was a source of a lot more information too. The game has now added the Deep Cut team who will replace Pearl and Marina. There was a look at the myriad of ways players can customize their characters, lockers, emotes, and a new feature called splashtags. Finally, the stage list was revealed with more promised to be added after the game launches.
