Halo TV Show Season 2: Release Date Rumors, Story, Leaks, and More

A second season of the Halo TV show was confirmed before the first season ever aired. However, the negative reception it received after its premiere had people wondering if it’d go the way of Cowboy Bebop. Here’s what we know about it so far.

Halo TV Show Season 2 Release Date Rumors

According to Deadline, production on the second season of the Halo TV show has started in Iceland. More filming will take place in Budapest, Hungary, later in the year, and post-production will likely begin in early 2023.

Given the production schedule, we likely won’t see the second season release until mid-late 2023 at the earliest.

Season 2 Story

At least four new characters are joining the show for season 2, so expect a new narrative. It’s being filmed in Iceland, which could make a decent analog to the surface of a Halo installation. We think it’s safe to assume that Master Chief and his pals will make it to the ring this season.

One of the new faces we’ll see in the show is James Ackerson (Joseph Morgan). Fans of the Halo expanded universe will recognize that name from the novel Halo: Ghosts of Onyx as the Colonel who established the SPARTAN-III program. So, perhaps we’ll see a new generation of Spartans make an early appearance in the show.

Season 2 Leaks

There haven’t been any leaks of substance about Halo Season 2 yet.
