Following an elite task force of female and assassins, Lycoris Recoil has enjoyed hefty praise since its very first episode. The unique premise has really worked its way into the hearts of everybody watching, and viewers are chomping at the bit to see more. Whatever happens in this final episode, it’s sure to be an emotional one for all of those who have invested so much time in the series.
It started with one of the Lycoris task force’s members, Takina Inoue, being dismissed after failing to follow orders in a tense shootout. Transferred to work with a fellow elite agent called Chisato Nishikigi, the pair operate undercover from a café, with hopes of one day being reinstated as full members of Lycoris. As we’ve watched their relationship grow, we’ve seen them come across challenges they never thought they would have to face, at least not while operating from the café.
Those who are enjoying Lycoris Recoil and want more action, could pick up the new manga adaptation of the same name by Yasunori Bizen. There’s also a spin-off novel by Asaura, called Lycoris Recoil: Ordinary Days.
