Destiny 2 Invisible Players Bug fix

Destiny 2 Players Invisible Bug: Why Can’t I See Other Characters?

If you can’t see the characters and weapons of other players in Destiny 2, you’re experiencing a common bug. When the game first launched, this bug was fairly common, but over the years, Bungie has largely eliminated it. However, it’s reared its ugly head again after the recent release of Lightfall. Fortunately, there’s a fix for other players being invisible in Destiny 2, but it’s an annoying one.

How to fix other player characters and weapons being invisible in Destiny 2

The only way to fix the bug causing other players to be invisible in Destiny 2 is to restart the game. Bungie is aware of the issue, but a permanent fix hasn’t been released yet.

There are two actions that can cause the invisible glitch to happen:

  • Interacting with the Commendations screen
  • Switching loadouts

The only time I’ve experienced this bug in Destiny 2 is when playing Dares of Eternity. After several rounds, I loaded into a game, and everyone’s character model was invisible. When this glitch happened previously, sometimes it just took a while for other player models to load in, but in this case, it didn’t happen at all.

Fortunately, the bug shouldn’t be an issue for too much longer. Bungie is working on a fix, and we’ll likely see it drop in the next patch.
