When can you go back to Coruscant in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor?

Once you leave Coruscant in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, you won’t be able to return for a while. You’ll have to play through the game until Chapter 4.2 before you get a chance to go back. Fortunately, at this point, you’ll have unlocked some of the abilities you need to open passages that were inaccessible your first time through.

The in-game reason for why you have to go back makes sense. Once Cal blasts off at the end of Chapter 1, the Empire marks the Mantis as a wanted ship. You have to wait until Merrin joins the crew because she has the ability to Force Cloak the ship, allowing it to slip past security. Otherwise, the Imperial fleet in orbit would likely fire on the Mantis on sight.

Even though you unlock free access to the planet in Chapter 4, you’re best off waiting even longer to head back to Coruscant. You’ll gain a few more abilities you’ll need to access blocked paths in the chapters ahead, and if you wait to return, you can get everything left over in one trip.
