Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Flux Construct 1 Core: How to Use Item

The Lend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Flux Construct 1 Core is an item that some players are confused about. It’s a green spiked object that drops from the first Flux Construct mini-boss on Great Sky Island, but it may be unclear what to do with this strange cylinder since you can’t place the item in your inventory. Here’s how to use the Flux Construct 1 Core so that it doesn’t go to waste.

How to use Flux Construct 1 Core in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Flux Construct 1 Core is an item drop that is used as a material for fusion with your weapon or shield.

That said, you need to unlock the Fuse ability first, which you can only do that after visiting the In-isa Shrine on the island. After that, you’ll be able to draw your shield or weapon near the core and then fuse them together for a temporary boost.

We recommend that you choose a weapon here, because the core will give it a whopping +10 bonus to damage. As an example, if you fuse the Flux Construct 1 Core with a Gerudo Spear, you’ll receive a Flux Core 1 Pulverizer.

That said, this boost will only last until the weapon breaks. So we recommend that you fuse the core with a weapon that you can tuck in your inventory to save for a rainy day. If you find a better material to fuse your weapon with (like, say, a higher-grade Flux Construct Core), you can always unfuse it, which the game honestly doesn’t really explain very well.

By the way, if you’re confused about where to go after defeating the Flux Construct mini-boss, there’s a pool of water on the south side of the area that you can use to escape.
