The only true way to increase your HP in Immortals of Aveum would be to track down Radiant Health Stones, which are gold crystals. They drop during certain difficult battles and can be found in Shroudfanes, but can’t be purchased. Some of these battles are on the critical path and will happen naturally. A blatant pop-up will show up each time, so it’s not hard to miss.

Shroudfanes, however, are a little harder to find, but they are still marked on your map without any upgrade. These are portals to an ethereal world that often have a platforming or combat challenge. Some are easy, while others are blisteringly difficult. Upon reaching the end of the challenge, you’ll be rewarded with a Radiant Health Stone most times. They are shown on your map with the small house icon with a green door.

Some challenges yield Radiant Mana Stones that increase your mana, but those aren’t nearly as plentiful. There are also 26 Shroudfanes that are scattered across each of the game’s maps.

Radiant Health Stones are the most straightforward way to increase you health, but there are other ways to up your survivability. While gear doesn’t give health bonuses, some of the bracers yield armor bonuses, which lessen the damage you take. These can be crafted at forges or found throughout the world.

There are also various upgrades that can up your armor stat. Two of the early red skill tree upgrades simply yield more armor. Using Bash, the super-powered punch Fury ability, can also grant 100 more armor for three seconds once the Ruinous Momentum skill is purchased. Dodging after buying the Grand Step ability in the green skill tree also yields 100 armor for two seconds.

Using healing crystals is easiest way to regain health. These can be activated by pressing the right D-pad button. Healing crystals often litter battlefield, fall off dead enemies, or can be found in chests. You start out by holding a maximum of three, but this can be upgraded to five at the forge.

The Living Explosion upgrade in the red tree can also give you back 5% of your health back every time a Limpet (the time slowing bean-like throwables) infused with red magic explodes on an enemy. The Leechshards ability in the green tree also yields 5% health for every enemy killed with green magic.
