Starfield Adoring Fan: Where to Find Fan Location for Hero-Worshipped Trait

The Starfield adoring fan is an NPC that appears if you select the Hero-Worshipped trait for your avatar during character creation. This fan doesn’t appear at the start of the game, but it doesn’t take too long after you explore the stars a bit before he makes his presence known. The description of this “adoring fan” says that the person is “annoying” but will occasionally give you gifts. But it doesn’t reveal the fan’s location, so you may be wondering when he shows up. Here’s where you can find the adoring fan in Starfield.

Where to find Starfield adoring fan location

The adoring fan from the Hero-Worshipped trait can be found in the plaza of the New Atlantic spaceport, particularly near the TerraBrew coffee bar.

We encountered the adoring fan at around the 7-hour mark, with the NPC appearing within TerraBrew itself seemingly as a random spawn. The fan will notice your presence and then immediately rush toward you in shock that you have met serendipitously. (Warning: We were engaged in another conversation this happened and the fan interrupted it, causing the game to crash.)

It’s uncertain whether or not the adoring fan can be female, and it’s unclear what needs to be triggered for the fan to appear. You likely need to reach the city of New Atlantis in the first place and meet Constellation at the Lodge before the fan will spawn. The NPC says that he was inspired to be a fan of yours after listening a news broadcast of your exploits at the beginning of the game.

That said, you don’t really need to worry about the adoring fan following you if you don’t want him around. You can ignore him by unassigning him in your crew settings. From there, he essentially becomes a free crew member that has 1 rank in Scavenging, 1 rank in Concealment, and 2 ranks in Weight-Lifting. He’s not the best companion, nor are the gifts he gives you all that different from other companions that you can gather on your team.

Starfield Adoring Fan FAQ

Q: How do you encounter the adoring fan in Starfield?

A: If you choose the Hero-Worshipped trait during character creation, the adoring fan will show up as you progress in the game. Specifically, you can find him near the TerraBrew coffee bar in the plaza of the New Atlantic spaceport after you’ve spent some hours exploring and likely after visiting New Atlantis and meeting Constellation at the Lodge.

Q: What should I be aware of when interacting with the adoring fan?

A: Be cautious as interacting with the adoring fan might interfere with other ongoing interactions. In one instance, the adoring fan interrupted another conversation, which resulted in a game crash. The fan is also not a mandatory companion; if you prefer not to have him around, you can unassign him in your crew settings.

Q: What capabilities does the adoring fan bring to your crew?

A: The adoring fan, while not the most effective companion, provides some utility to your crew. He has 1 rank in Scavenging, 1 rank in Concealment, and 2 ranks in Weight-Lifting. However, his gifts and contributions might not be as impactful as those from other potential companions.
