Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Cut Content

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: Will There Be Cut Content?

Fans are wondering if there will be cut content in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and what new content has been added. FF7 Remake surprised us by not only not cutting anything but adding a ton of content to the team’s journey through Midgar. However, The world is poised to open up in FF7 Rebirth, which makes us wonder if every location will make its way into the game.

Will there be cut content in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?

So far, we haven’t seen any indicator that there will be content cut from FF7 Rebirth. So far, we’ve seen the following locations:

  • Midgar
  • Kalm
  • Marshes
  • Nibelheim (flashback version)
  • Nibelheim Reactor (flashback version)
  • Under Junon (and the beach)
  • Junon

More Guides

We know from the Square Enix store page that the game is set to conclude in “The Forgotten Capital,” where Aerith died in the original, so there are still quite a few locations we haven’t seen yet. However, we can infer that some of them exist, even if we haven’t laid eyes on them:

  • Chocobo Farm: We met Choco Bill in FF7 Remake, and the latest trailer indicates there’s Chocobo breeding and racing.
  • Corel Prison: The team still ends up with the buggy, and it’s highly unlikely the devs would remove Dyne from the game since he’s a big part of Barret’s backstory.

However, the devs have said that we may visit locations out of order. For example, Wutai has been moved to the third game, whereas in the original, you could travel to it as soon as you obtained the Tiny Bronco.

Since we already have evidence of so many locations from the original, it’s doubtful we’ll see any content cut. If Remake is any indicator, the team is going out of its way to make sure everything from the original is present.

FF7 Rebirth Cut Content FAQ

Q: Will there be any content removed from Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?

A: As of now, there is no indication that any content will be cut from FF7 Rebirth. In fact, based on what we’ve seen and the game’s progression, it seems likely that most, if not all, of the original content will be included, and there will be additional content as well.

Q: Are all the locations from the original game confirmed for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?

A: Many locations such as Midgar, Kalm, Junon, and Cosmo Canyon, among others, have been confirmed for FF7 Rebirth. While we haven’t seen all the locations yet, there are hints suggesting the inclusion of places like Chocobo Farm and Corel Prison. However, there may be a change in the order of visiting some locations; for instance, Wutai has been moved to the third game.

Q: What can we expect in terms of new content or changes based on the FF7 Remake?

A: The FF7 Remake added significant content, and it seems the same approach will be followed for FF7 Rebirth. While the core content remains consistent with the original game, players might visit some locations out of their original order.
