Of course, there is one small drawback to using the Stopping Power Field Upgrade, and that is the slow recharge rate. However, Stopping Power applies its damage multiplier to every round in a magazine. If used correctly, players can use Stopping Power rounds in every magazine so long as they don’t empty their weapon’s clip before the Field Upgrade has been recharged.

Since Stopping Power deals so much more damage than normal rounds, it draws a lot of ire from players. It’s often called out as one of the least-balanced Field Upgrades in the game, and it’s not hard to see why: With Stopping Power active, weapons like the M4A1 are capable of one-shot kills. Coupled with the Tune Up perk, players can easily deal double damage with any gun for the duration of a match.

Whatever your opinion of this Field Upgrade may be, Modern Warfare Stopping Power rounds can completely turn the tide of battle. Stopping Power can turn just about any gun into a powerhouse, and that includes some of the game’s weakest weapons. If you’ve found that your favorite guns aren’t as effective as you would like, Stopping Power rounds may make all the difference.
