Wasteland 2 GotY Will Be Free for All Owners

Wasteland 2 Game of the Year Edition, a full and expanded remake for the original game, will be a free upgrade for all existing owners and crowdfunded backers for the original edition of Wasteland 2 for PC, Mac OS X, and Linux.

As announced by inXile Entertainment, the game engine will be updated to Unity 5, boasting better textures, modeling, and lighting. "Thousands of lines of new voice-over" dialogue have been recorded.

On the gameplay front, players can select new perks and quirks for their squad and can target enemy limbs with the new Precision Strike system (similar to V.A.T.S. in the Fallout series). They also promise "overhauled game balance, item drops, and reworked combat encounters."

Wasteland 2 Game of the Year Edition will arrive on PS4 and Xbox One as well. No launch date has been announced yet.
