Final Fantasy XV won't be showcased at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, Square Enix has announced.
"After internal discussions, we decided not to create an E3 trailer," studio marketing manager Akio Ofuj said during today's livetsream (via GameSpot). "Sorry for lying." The game's director, Hajime Tabata, chimed in, adding, "It's unfortunate. We said we'd have something at E3, and there's nothing."
Instead, the Japanese publisher plans to show off more of the game later this year at gamescom.
Square Enix will be holding an E3 media briefing on Tuesday, June 16. Seeing as how we won't be hearing anything about FFXV, we better get some news (if not an actual gameplay trailer) for Kingdom Hearts III.
You've toyed with your hearts long enough, Square!
