Hitman Gameplay Video Leaks

The next entry in the Hitman franchise, simply titled Hitman, was revealed last month at E3. The presentation didn't include a lot of details, but a new gameplay video has leaked which gives a better idea of how the game will play.

The 11-minute video (which has since been taken down) shows Agent 47 as he sneaks around, scales buildings, eliminates targets, and uses disguises. It all looks pretty familiar, though the weapon selection interface sports a new design. In addition, the levels seem to be a bit more open-ended, much like Hitman: Blood Money. That should please fans of the series, as a lot of them were disappointed with the linearity of Hitman: Absolution.

The video doesn't look particularly great from a visual standpoint, but IO Interactive community manager Travis Barbour told GameSpot that it "looks and plays better" than the footage in the video. That makes sense, especially since the entire video contains the message, "may contain placeholder assets and material requiring legal clearance."

Hitman comes out on December 8 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It will be a digital-only release at first, with a retail version to follow in 2016.
