Diablo 3 Opens Its Gates To 100,000 More Beta Testers

What's better than there being a Diablo III beta? Lots of invites being sent out, of course.

Blizzard just let in 100,000 more players into what many are calling the meanest, most badass beta in recent memory. Hopefully you got in, but if you're wondering why you aren't already slaughtering enemies with your barbarian or witch hunter, it's advised that you "opt-in" for the beta under your Battle.net account. You'll need to submit some system details and click a few buttons, but if you enjoy RPGs then it's a no-brainer.

Blizzard announced last month that major gameplay changes are being made before Diablo III launches. Some of these changes include the addition of a dedicated potion button, adjustment of stat attributes, as well as the removal of mechanics like the scroll of identification. What wasn't directly mentioned was that these changes inherently require some investment from the development team, meaning a later release date than originally planned. However, 100,000 players being let into the depths of Diablo III is a good indication that the title is nearing release, so hopefully you're ready.
