Nintendo Event Suggests Wii U Price And Release Date Will Be Revealed Next Month

Nintendo's product reveals usually detail the concept or design of upcoming products, but the company has made a habit of unleashing the really important details at a later date. We're talking release date, price, launch lineup…. The Wii U appears to be getting these details confirmed at an event on September 13th.

The invitation reads that "more about how the Wii U will change the future of gaming and entertainment." The last time an invite like this went out, it was for a 3DS event that detailed the launch date and price for Nintendo's latest handheld.

It also bears noting that the event was held in January and two months later, March, the 3DS was available on store shelves. Should we be looking forward to a November Wii U release? Time will tell, but the pieces are coming together for that long supposed launch window.
