New Apple iPhone 17 Air & Pro Release Date Rumors Explained

New Apple iPhone 17 Air & Pro Release Date Rumors Explained

There has been much anticipation around the release date and time of the new iPhone 17 Air & Pro. Apple’s annual hardware event is scheduled for September 9, where more details on the upcoming phone series and updates on its other products, including two new watches and AirPods Pro, are expected to be revealed. Latest rumors suggest a new estimated timeline for the much-awaited phone’s arrival. Here are the details.

Here’s what Apple iPhone 17 Air release date rumors are about

There are rumors that after the reveal of the iPhone 17 series, including iPhone 17 Air and Pro, on September 9 at Apple’s official event, the pre-sale could begin on September 12, and the products might go on sale from September 19 onwards in select countries.

While there are a lot of talks around iPhone 17 and the keynote release date, Mark Gurman’s Bloomberg Power report revealed some interesting details on iOS 26’s arrival. It’s expected to come pre-installed with the new series, which will be announced at Apple’s upcoming event. Gurman, earlier this month, took to X (formerly Twitter) to comment on the software’s 6th beta version. He called it “ridiculously snappy so far.” He also noted in the newsletter, “It’s clear that we’re pretty close to the release of the final, public versions.” So, there’s a chance that iOS 26 will come with the new iPhone model, and it will also be available for older iPhones.

iOS 26 could follow a release pattern similar to iOS 18 last year, which launched a week after the keynote. Based on this, rumors say that it’s expected to arrive on September 15 or 16, with the former date appearing more likely due to high anticipation. There is a rumored timeline for the announcement of the keynote, iPhone pre-order, and final sale date, and reviews, too.

On August 26, Apple is rumored to make a keynote announcement. It will send online invites to selected press and special guests. The annual hardware event has a fixed date of September 9. Three days after the event, pre-orders are likely to start on September 12. The reviews could be out sometime on September 16 or 17. The dates may vary, but the unused dates could be given for Apple Watches reviews. Next up, AirPods Pro could be expected to be reviewed. iPhone 17 is expected to be released on September 19, firstly in Australia and New Zealand. Later, it will come out in Europe and the US.
