While there are a lot of talks around iPhone 17 and the keynote release date, Mark Gurman’s Bloomberg Power report revealed some interesting details on iOS 26’s arrival. It’s expected to come pre-installed with the new series, which will be announced at Apple’s upcoming event. Gurman, earlier this month, took to X (formerly Twitter) to comment on the software’s 6th beta version. He called it “ridiculously snappy so far.” He also noted in the newsletter, “It’s clear that we’re pretty close to the release of the final, public versions.” So, there’s a chance that iOS 26 will come with the new iPhone model, and it will also be available for older iPhones.
iOS 26 could follow a release pattern similar to iOS 18 last year, which launched a week after the keynote. Based on this, rumors say that it’s expected to arrive on September 15 or 16, with the former date appearing more likely due to high anticipation.
