Virtual reality (VR) has always been a hot topic for gamers and tech nerds and, to be frank, we have a feeling it always will be. Ever since the concept of VR came to be, there have been people all over the world desperately craving it. Yet CD Projekt Red says differently, confirming that as of now, there are no Cyberpunk 2077 VR plans for the future.
This may come as a surprise to some, especially since Bethesda has recently announced that their games Skyrim, Fallout 4 and DOOM didn’t just sell very well on VR, but was received positively by fans also. The possibility of VR doing well for Cyberpunk 2077 is favorable, yet we speculate not favorable enough to warrant it getting a version for VR.
The confirmation of no VR comes from a user on Reddit, who was curious enough to ask the question about VR on the game’s Facebook page. As you can see in the link above, the answer was three simple words that were enough to trample any sort of hope for VR. They were: VR Not Found.
A crushing blow for VR fans, especially considering how the game’s wondrous, cyberpunk city would no doubt look incredible in virtual reality. Regardless, there is still enough content that will keep players busy without it and while there are no plans for VR in the future, that doesn’t mean it won’t get one. Besides, it stands to reason that CD Projekt Red is more concerned with getting the game its best to be released on the platforms its been confirmed for rather than focus on VR.
