Dragon Ball FighterZ developer Arc System Works has announced the Kill la Kill the Game IF release date target. It is slated to release for the PS4 and PC sometime in 2019. The news was recently revealed at Anime Expo 2018 by publisher APlus Games, along with a new debut trailer for the upcoming game adaptation of the popular manga/anime of the same name.
As reported by Gematsu, the first public playable demo of Kill la Kill the Game IF will be available at Evo 2018, which will take place in Las Vegas from August 3 to August 5, 2018. No further details or information have been revealed about the game, other than the fact that the studio responsible for the Kill la Kill anime, Studio Trigger, has been working closely with Arc System Works in the game’s development.
That’s good news for fans of the source material, as the game will then probably be authentic in terms of design and art style. Arc System Works has proven itself a master at replicating the look of the original anime for any given anime-based game, especially when we look at its highly-successful Dragon Ball FighterZ. Kill la Kill the Game IF could even be 2019’s breakout fighting game ala Dragon Ball FighterZ.
Kill la Kill the Game IF won’t be the only fighting game that will be playable at Evo 2018. Koei Tecmo has also announced earlier today that there will be a playable demo of Dead or Alive 6 at the upcoming event. There will even be a Dead or Alive 5: Last Round tournament, which will be open to Evo 2018 attendees.
Meanwhile, anime fans will have another anime game later in 2018 to tide them over until Kill la Kill the Game IF releases next year, and that’s My Hero One’s Justice. It will be released internationally for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 26, 2018.
