BioWare Has Plans For More Mass Effect On Wii U

When it was revealed that Mass Effect 3 would be headed to the Wii U this holiday season, I think just about everyone in the audience at Nintendo's E3 press conference was scratching their head in confusion. Why would EA bring the third chapter in the BioWare's epic sci-fi trilogy to Nintendo's console before porting over the first two entries?

Well it looks like BioWare may be working backwards, as a rep from the studio shared some interesting words with GamerSyndrome regarding the future of the franchise on Nintendo's platform. When asked by the outlet whether or not we'll ever see the first two Mass Effect games on the Wii U, the representative replied:

I can’t really comment on rumored speculation about the game or the franchise. Wii U is a console we feel is really cool and that more Mass Effect would look great on it, so we do have plans for Wii U but nothing to announce at this moment.

While this is by no means confirmation that the first two titles will be coming to the Wii U, it certainly sounds like it's a good possibility. Call me crazy, but wouldn't it have been a much better idea to launch them all together as a trilogy rather than starting off with just the third one?
