Highlights from this collection include Ori and the Blind Forest and Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice. Ori and the Blind Forest first released in 2015, and was developed by Moon Studios. The game was praised for its gorgeous visuals and sweeping soundtrack. Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice was developed by now Microsoft-owned Ninja theory, and released in 2017. Hellblade told the story of the titular Senua as she travels to the realm of Helheim to retrieve her dead lover’s soul. PUBG finding its way to Game Pass comes as the title continues to struggle against free-to-play Fortnite. The lower barrier for entry will likely bring more players to the game, although it’s mediocre performance on the Xbox One could turn some off from the battle royale game.
