Rage 2

The Game Awards 2018: Rage 2 Trailer and Release Date Announcement

The Rage 2 release date was announced at The Game Awards 2018 alongside a new trailer. We’ve only known about the game for half a year, but it’s releasing sooner than you’d think.

Rage 2 looks to have much better first-person combat than the first while retaining the awesome vehicular combat that made the series a fan favorite. There’s also quite a bit more color this time around. The first game was criticized for its dull earthy palette, but this time around things get a bit gaudier, and we mean that in a good way.

Neons and pastels adorn the buildings and denizens of Rage 2, and each faction, some of which we get to see in the new trailer, have their own styles. We also get a glimpse of the vast map that we’ll get to explore in the game.

While the first Rage was a great game, and plenty of fun, Rage 2 is looking like it may be id’s Borderlands moment. We’re huge fans of over-the-top action and style here at GR, so we can’t wait for the game’s release.

Rage 2 is coming a scant year after its announcement. The game is slated for a May 14, 2019 release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
