Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Reveals Announcement and Character Trailers

After a quarter of a century, Fatal Fury is finally making a comeback with its latest entry in the series, City of the Wolves. To prepare for the new game in the long-running fighting franchise, developer SNK has revealed a number of tantalizing trailers.

All your favorites are back

If you’re excited about the new Fatal Fury game, check out the latest trailers. First, there’s the announcement trailer, which throws a little nostalgia your way before showcasing some footage from City of the Wolves.

The other video over on the SNK YouTube channel shows off some of the characters who are going to return. We get to see the likes of Terry Bogard, Hotaru Futaba, Tizoc, and more.

As for when the game will actually be launching, there isn’t an official release date just yet, other than it’s expected to arrive “early 2025.”

CotW is touted as a direct sequel to Garou: Mark of the Wolves, which was released back in 1999 for the Neo Geo before finding its way onto the PlayStation 2 and Sega Dreamcast. This means it’s been more than 25 years since we saw a new installment.

Given that the fighting genre is dominated by such enormous hits as Tekken, Street Fighter, and Mortal Kombat, Fatal Fury has sadly been pushed to the side over the years. Yet the fact that it’s coming back will get long-time fans of the series excited.

As mentioned, there’s no release date for City of the Wolves at the moment, but no doubt the developer will be keen to show off more as the months go by.
